Emily Biggs
Vice Principal
“I've had the privilege of knowing and loving Holland as a dedicated member of our community for the past six years. She consistently gives her time, energy, and support to ensure that others feel heard and cared for. Holland is not only a trusted friend, but also a passionate and tireless advocate.
She is one of the most hardworking and dedicated individuals I know. Whether she's showing up to volunteer, leading initiatives, or simply listening with compassion, Holland brings a deep sense of purpose and commitment to everything she does.
As a teacher in Alpine School District, I've personally benefited from Holland's thoughtful listening and meaningful conversations about the future of education, student well-being, and the overall health of our schools. Her active involvement in our local schools-as a PTA member and classroom volunteer-reflects her unwavering dedication to building strong, supportive learning environments.
Holland recognizes that teachers and students are the heart of our schools. She is truly a Champion for the Classroom and a steadfast advocate for educators, students, and families alike.”

Laira Blair
Small Business Owner and Parent in Seat 4
“It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Holland Rymer for School Board seat 4. I am Laira Blair, the PTA Treasurer of Brookhaven and Sage Canyon, Small business owner, Wife, and Mother of four. Over the last year, I have gotten to know Holland, and while I've worked with many people throughout my career, Holland is one individual I have worked with who uniquely stands out.
During our time together, Holland displayed great talents in leadership, team building, accountability, optimism, strong communication skills, and a passion for education and students' well-being.
Holland was a joy to work with because she was able to listen to everyone's ideas and find a way to collaborate as a team. She is very accountable and was always there, helping any time she said she would be there. If Holland were unable to attend a school event, she would make sure that everyone had what they needed and that we had enough help. Holland's amazingly positive attitude is what makes her stand out the most. Oftentimes, she is the one who brings the fun or finds the positive in all situations. Last year, Holland brought amazing changes to our school as our PTA President-elect. She helped start a few new programs and family fun events, such as Classic Skate night, where families could come and spend time together. She also took the lead on Badger lunch bunch, where families could come and celebrate student birthdays by eating lunch together and enjoying a birthday treat. We had a lot of positive feedback and will continue these amazing programs at our school.
I am confident that Holland would be a great fit for the school board seat 4. Not only will she bring the kind of skills and experiences you're looking for in an applicant, but she will also quickly become an asset and help our school board grow in any way she can.
If you need more information or specific examples, please do not hesitate to contact me at laira.blair@gmail.com. As a recommendation letter likely only provides a snapshot of her talents and achievements, I would be happy to elaborate further on my time working with her.”

Emily Buttars
Teacher and Parent in Seat 4
“As an experienced teacher, I've seen firsthand how school board decisions directly impact my classroom and my students' futures.
Being on a school board isn't about running the day-to-day operations-that's the superintendent's job. Board members are leaders, policymakers, and stewards of the public's trust in education. They adopt and revise policies that govern everything from curriculum and student conduct to equity and safety.
I live in Seat 4, and I'll be voting for Holland Rymer I've known Holland for 15 years. She's a natural leader who collaborates, advocates, and finds solutions that bring people together. I trust that she will listen to our community and represent us with thoughtfulness and integrity. I'm excited to see her bring her unique strengths to the new Lake Mountain School Board!”

Katie Andersen
Parent in Seat 4
“Hi neighbors, I'm a mom of 5, and 4 currently attend schools that will be a part of the new district. I wanted to share a little about who I'm excited to vote for. So many changes are coming, it can be overwhelming & I have feel like my vote counts MORE than EVER, and voting for LOCAL representatives are going to directly impact our children!! It's so important to do research on candidates and place some energy to VOTE! Even if your kids are only 2 years old, vote for the people you'd like to see be advocates for your child. You'll be grateful when they start attending school!
Most importantly, for the school board I have been so impressed with Holland Rymer! This woman SHOWS UP. She is a mother herself, her children are impacted as much as ours in this New District!!! She has first hand experienced what has been going on - wonderful things in the current school district, and what the new school district has an opportunity to improve on!! She understands we've got to start somewhere if we want to see good improvement.
I love to hear that one of her first priorities are to improve the safety of our children! We desperately need that. I love that she currently sees how much growth is happening and that requires the district to support the amount of students attending, including prioritizing new schools! I love that Holland sees that a balance is required in a district budget to provide competitive pay to teachers and staff - which benefits our children directly! I want those employees who spend every school day with my kids to get the best environment possible.
I loved being able to chat with her in person when I ran into her at Thunder Ridge and she listened to pain points we have experienced and Holland expressed her passion in what she stands for too! It's a relief to find those who hear your perspective and who will spend their time ensuring things improve!
PLEASE if you want a high-quality environment for our children, VOTE this fall and vote Holland Rymer for seat 4!!!”

“I'm so proud to endorse one of my closest friends Holland for school board seat 4! She's one of the most passionate, dedicated people I know, someone who works hard, always shows up, and truly cares. She's the kind of person who helps you accomplish your goals and shows up right with you to get things done. When she is passionate about something she is involved and in the trenches, not sitting on the sideline. She loves our school system and is committed to making it the best it can be for students, families, and teachers alike. As a mom of young children I've seriously debated putting my kids in the public school system because of the issues we've seen with over crowded schools, overwhelmed teachers, and parents being intentionally out of the loop. Holland saw some of these same concerns and chose to get her hands dirty and joined the PTA and saw firsthand these struggles and now wants to make a difference for our kids, for teachers, and for us parents so that our children can enjoy these amazing public schools. She is a go getter! She is productive and even more importantly one of the most incredible listeners I know. If we want to be heard as parents there's no one better!
I've seen firsthand how much she puts into everything she does, and I know she'll bring that same energy, heart, and determination to the school board. I can't think of a better mom to stand up for me and my children on a local level. Our community and our families will be so lucky and blessed to have Holland on the school board!”

“I have lived in Eagle Mountain for just over 5 years, so I've witnessed first hand the growing pains that our city is facing. As a parent of two school aged children, one of my main concerns is with the public school system, therefore I am proud to endorse Holland Rymer for School Board.
Holland is a dedicated advocate for students, parents, and teachers, and brings the kind of thoughtful, principled leadership our new district needs. She has a deep commitment to our community and has been actively involved with the schools in various roles-including the President of our PTA. Holland understands that every decision made by the board impacts real families and real futures-including mine.
Holland stands for academic excellence, transparency, and respectful collaboration. She listens first, acts with integrity, and isn't afraid to ask hard questions to ensure that every student and teacher-regardless of background-has the opportunity to thrive. Her vision for our schools is to build for growth, plan for excellency and that includes support for teachers, investing in infrastructure and policies that reflect the values of our community.”

Holland will advocate for meaningful support in the classroom, thoughtful decision-making, and policies that reflect the values of our community. She listens. She leads. And she cares.
Let's bring a parent's perspective and a proven teacher advocate to the table. Join me in voting for Holland Rymer for School Board.”
