A Champion for Our Classrooms

My Plan for Our New District
Steady Transition
As we establish the new Lake Mountain District, together, we will work to ensure a seamless transition. My focus will be on maintaining stability for our students, supporting our teachers, and building a collaborative district culture from day one.
Build for Growth
Our district is growing fast, and so is the student body. We must meet that growth head-on with smart, long-term planning: building new schools, expanding current facilities, and ensuring every student continues to receive a high-quality education for years to come.
Student Safety
I will work with the board to prioritize creating safe learning environments where every student feels secure, respected, and valued. This includes both physical safety measures and fostering a positive school culture that addresses bullying and promotes mental health support.
The Challenge We Face
Our district faces significant challenges that require thoughtful leadership and strategic planning.
Classroom Size
Our cities in the West are growing fast, which brings unique challenges for our schools. One of the biggest is rising classroom sizes, as enrollment grows faster than new schools can be built. With thoughtful planning, we can ensure our students and teachers have the space and support they need to learn.
Superintendent Hiring
We must hire a dynamic leader who is both a passionate cheerleader for our schools and a strategic, data-driven decision-maker. The ideal candidate will have a background in education, have experience in leading through tough times, and inspire our community while ensuring all of our kids receive a well-rounded education.
Competitive Compensation
We must balance being fiscally responsible and the need to attract and retain great educators. As a new district, we have a unique opportunity to build smart, sustainable budgets that prioritize competitive salaries and benefits for our teachers and staff, because investing in them is investing in our students' success.
